DARKLIGHT IMAGED
A hum not heard outside my ears
smashes the synapse
interrupts the light within
and a blank occurs to me what emptiness
empty-headedness is like
No real thought has a chance
Mouth dribbles to darting eyes
mechanical hands lay out a plan
to cover up the gripping fear
that I don’t know you…..
you won’t agree
I think to hate you, without your love
No real feeling has a chance
Pretense builds upon my walls
bright colors print patterns
dreamt intricate to awe
the unique separation
will soothe the illusion
that gnaws a longing
to be inside you….
or far away
No ear has a hint
How I am you, we will not know
Light to tap upon your springboard
Gracious to lift me to spring
Time sprouts the child I am
Bright beads of laughter sing
Out sounds so softly they bounce
Me high on your light-track
With the Speed of a little
Spirit willing
